So all you need to do is package the kit up and tell us where to pick it up from.

For many years we have built and designed desktop and portable workstations for editing professionals. With the introduction of new software and hardware technologies in mind we have revamped our range to deliver the best value workstations without compromising on the performance. All solar Systems arrive pre-configured and before dispatch are put through their paces by our experienced Planet engineers. You can even expect a courtesy call from a Planet engineer once the system is on the work bench to make sure the system is tested with your workflow.

Our Windows based 7 Solar System's are based around professional HP workstations, both desktop and notebook. Our desktop systems are built on the HP z400 which is fully authorised for all the editing application options we offer. The 64 Bit systems utilise the Intel Xeon processors with Nehalem microarchitecture, delivering exceptional performance and power efficiency. Graphics processing is becoming more and more integral with today’s editing platforms, so as standard all Solar System’s include professional Nvidia Quadro cards. These are fully authorised for the new Adobe Mercury Playback Engine contained within Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. The rest of the system components are populated to our high standard and there is a variety of compatible video I/O upgrades available.

Each Planet Solar System comes with Solar Support, a comprehensive service and support package that lasts for an amazing 3 years. This gives you a one-stop service and support from our Planet engineers, so most issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently.

Here is exactly what you get (and what it means):

• Full Return to Base Warranty
  The Solar Support provides full cover for both parts and labour, as all hardware can fail from time to time. If this happens we are happy to deal with it, all we need you to do is to return the item to us and we will do the rest
  
• Technical support
  This gives you direct access to our friendly Planet engineers are available via telephone or e-mail.
  
• Remote System support*
  Getting access to your machine allows us to diagnose problems even faster, so our remote support lets our Planet Engineers do just that. Via our remote access portal, we can connect directly to your system and start searching for, and hopefully fixing the problem you were having.

4. Returns Service - Unlike many resellers, Planet PC will deal with returns on your behalf should your product develop a fault. Once you have returned your product to us we will deal with the administration and handle the costs involved with forwarding the product to the appropriate manufacturer (often in the EU), ensuring a return is obtained in a timely fashion and delivering a replacement/your repaired product to you* by an insured delivery service. *Only free if within the U.K. mainland - If outside the U.K. mainland then a delivery charge will be payable when your repaired/replaced product is returned to you.
