The UDC is a broadcast quality Up/Down/Cross Mini-Converter which can convert between SD, HD, and 3G video formats. Borrowing from AJA’s industry leading conversion technology used in our model FS2, the UDC provides very high quality conversions at a low price. The UDC also supports 8 channel embedded audio. I/Os include SD/HD/3G SDI Input and Output, HDMI output, and 2 channel RCA style audio output. The UDC can be controlled by local dipswitches with additional control available via USB and AJA’s Mini-Config application. A Reference Input allows the video output to be timed to a local reference.

The 12V power connection uses a standard connector, so if you lose your power supply you can simply purchase one from any electrical retailer. Now you can clearly see when your cameras are “on air”! ATEM Camera Converter uses an open standard tally packet in the SDI output on any ATEM switcher to illuminate 2 built in tally LEDs! All you need to do is connect the ATEM switcher’s program output to the ATEM Camera Converter via the return optical fiber feed! Then simply select the camera number via USB software or using the camera number button on the keypad. If you have external monitoring plugged into the HDMI or SDI outputs, you can even display a red tally border on your monitor.

Parade Display for Colourists When colour correcting video, nothing beats the real time RGB parade waveform view. You can see the colour balance in blacks, mids and whites, so it's easy to balance colours and get your images looking perfect. RGB Parade is also perfect for checking for illegal colours because any video that drops below the black line, or above the 100% line is an illegal RGB colour. Parade can also be switched to component so you can align equipment and decks.
Waveform Display for Alignments When adjusting video levels or matching black background levels when keying, the waveform display is ideal for this task! Waveform view has a setting that's luminance only, or composite. Composite videos synthesised from the SDI input, and is a much better view for aligning traditional equipment such as decks. Thousands of editors know and understand composite waveform monitors, so even though UltraScope is all digital, the synthesised composite waveform makes like a lot easier.
Component Vectorscope View A vectorscope is the only way to see what colour you have. When colour correcting video sometimes you need to know colour has been removed or nulled out for accurate white balance, and vectorscope view is perfect. Sometimes when colour correcting you also need to apply a tint, and vectorscope lets you see exactly how much tint you're adding, and what colour it is. Sometimes monitors cannot be trusted, but a vectorscope always shows the colours you have! Of course aligning hue on decks is always easy with vectorscope view.
Histogram for Location Shoots Almost all video need to be colour corrected at some point in the post production process, and so you never want to clip video whites or blacks when on a live shoot. If you clip the blacks and whites, you loose all detail later in post production when you try and adjust blacks up, or whites down. Histogram view lets you see where the pixels are in your video, and how they are distributed from black to white. You can see if video is clipping, and then it's easy to adjust the camera to keep all black and white detail in the image. Later in post production you then have the full contrast range of video for easy colour correction that lets you keep all details no matter how extreme the colour grade is.
Audio view for Monitoring Levels Keep track of your audio levels at all times with 8 channels of audio metering, plus a stereo phase meter. The stereo phase meter plots left and right audio, as an XY scope display so you know exactly what your audio is at all times. Audio scope lets you see mono audio, as you see a 45 degree forward angled straight line, or when you have stereo audio you will see the scope puff out in all directions! Audio problems are easily seen such as clipping, and out of phase audio can be seen as a 45 degree back leaning display. If you don't get a perfect 45 degree forward leaning waveform, then you know you audio channel balance is out! No audio problem can hide from audio scopes.
Picture View with VITC Timecode The picture view lets you keep track of the video input so you always know what's going on and what video input is connected into your Blackmagic UltraScope. Input video is selected automatically from either the optical fiber SDI or regular SDI inputs, and video standard is automatically detected and displayed above the video image. VITC timecode is also detected and read into a timecode counter on the top right of the video image.
High end post production and television engineers have known for decades the benefit of using waveform monitoring not just for engineering, but operationally in colour correction and editing workflow. From colour correction to matching black levels when keying and overlaying video, only waveform monitoring lets you keep track of what's going on, and helps you eliminate illegal colours, and other problems that could cause your work to be rejected by broadcasters.

Ever since Blackmagic Design introduced their routers, people have been asking for a hardware control panel. Now it’s arrived in the form of the Videohub Smart Control.
Smart Control is low cost, but it's also technically advanced. It has full RGB LEDs under each button, so Smart Control can be customised to have more than one destination. If you have more than one destination, the destination buttons become gold coloured. Sources are white. You can also customise a "take" button, and the take button becomes red.
Smart control is very customisable, and includes a software utility for Mac and Windows that makes it very easy to set the buttons just by connecting to the USB port. This means it's easy to set up a Smart Control yourself. Smart Control connects directly via ethernet, and even includes a loop through ethernet connection. It also supports power over ethernet, so if you have a powered ethernet switch, you don't even need the power supply. It does include a power supply for those who don't have powered ethernet.
The keys are an attractive crystal look design, and the front of the unit unscrews and slides off so you can add key labels under the caps. The keys are a high reliability design for an incredibly long life, even in hard use.

SDI audio is looped through with automatic audio delay based on the video processing delay. Processing is full 10 bit, with high quality filtering for truly professional performance. A reference input is included, so Mini Converter UpDownCross can even re-sync video sources.
Also included is a single SDI loop through output, and 5 SDI processed outputs. You can bypass processing so Mini Converter UpDownCross becomes a fantastic SDI distribution amplifier with 6 SDI outputs.

Because Mini Converters use standard 1/4 inch jack connectors for all audio connections, you can use standard cables commonly available from any pro audio store. Unlike other converters, Mini Converters don't need custom cables, as any balanced 1/4 inch jack cable can be used. Mini Converters are also unique as the same 1/4 inch jack connections can be switched between professional balanced analog audio, or AES/EBU digital audio. With the new DeckLink HD Extreme 3D, and other 3D equipment becoming more popular, Blackmagic Design have a new model of HDLink Pro DisplayPort with 3D support.
HDLink Pro 3D with DisplayPort supports both interleaved/side by side or dual stream 3D inputs via the two SDI inputs, and supports 3D on compatible computer monitors and 3D HDMI televisions. If you're using HDMI televisions you need a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, and then simply connect.

The intuitive unit is small and powered by the Mac's USB port. The included software provides a video capture tool and compresses the video as it converts. All required cables are provided: USB, composite video/audio, S-Video, and SCART.
The included software installs the necessary driver and capture software to control the Grass Valley ADVCmini hardware. Capture from VCR, camcorder or other video sources to the ADVCmini using the included cables and connect to your Mac via the USB port, video can then be captured using the included software.

C2-7200 Dual Channel Video Processor provides the ultimate flexibility in analog and digital conversion as will as video and computer convergence. It features two independent video processing and scaling engines and two video mixers for maximum flexibility in handling virtually all analog and digital video signals and is equally at home in Broadcast or Display environments. The unit has three basic operating modes to simplify control. Switcher Mode - Provides equally powerful Program and Preview channels for live event switching. In addition to previewing inputs before selection, even complex functions, such as Chromakeys and Picture-In-Picture, can be previewed for setup, totally independent of the Program channel output. Seamless transitions from Preview to Program can be either by Cut, Variable Duration Cross-Fade or Special Effects. Any signal format can be freely mixed with any other. Independent Mode - Provides the power of two independently functioning products, performing different tasks in one box. Each output can deliver different formats and resolutions simultaneously. For example, a presentation being fed to a high resolution display on Output 1 via DVI can also be fed to a VCR for recording on Output 2 via Composite Video. In a Broadcast environment, the C2-7200 can function as two completely independent Analog to HD-SDI Converters, each genlocked to a different reference and each with a different logo or ID keyed in.
Dual PIP Mode - Any video input can be squeezed and placed into either of two windows of any size and positioned anywhere on the screen, even overlapping each other with user defined layer priority control. The windows can be placed over any other video input or a static image from the unit’s memory as the background. The image in the window can then be seamlessly switched or cross faded to another video input or even zoomed in or out. Keying can be added independently to each window and the background.
Powerful Features - 4:4:4 sampling provides full bandwidth colour which allows the C2-7200 to provide precise pixel by pixel keying, including Soft (Transparent) Keys. The unit’s 11 Inputs accommodate multiple HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, YPbPr, RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, YCbCr, Composite and S-Video signals. It handles all HDTV formats and any PC resolution up to 2048x2048 - not just some predefined ones, but ANY resolution, even custom ones. The two independent output channels each offer SDI (SD or HD), DVI-I (also any RGB format), CV and SV simultaneously. The unit’s ability to alter the aspect ratio of any input enables different SDTV and HDTV images to be intermixed in any of the modes.
C2-7200’s output signal format flexibility assures that the Native Resolution of virtually any Digital Display can be matched. Because of the integral resolution calculator, even new resolutions can be instantly added to the menu. Adjustments are provided for Brightness, Contrast, Colour Saturation and Hue (where applicable) and each video input has its own non-volatile memory to retain these settings, even when the power to the unit has been turned off. Integral Test Pattern Signals are user definable. A fast Logo memory is provided, so the unit can easily be used as a Logo Inserter. The C2-7200 employs advanced motion compensation to smooth out fast moving images and its automatic 3:2 Pull-down efficiently de-interlaces video from 24 fps film. The unit can be controlled from the front panel, via RS-232 or via IP by Internet or LAN. The Windows Control Panel provides complete control and adds Macros to facilitate long, complex sequence of commands. One Control Panel can control multiple devices.

C2-2300 Universal Video Switcher/Scaler is based on TV One’s exclusive CORIO2™ technology and provides high quality scaling in any direction between standard video, DVI or Analog computer and HDTV signals. NTSC and PAL standards are supported. Input and Outputs can be Composite Video, S-Video, YUV Component, YPbPr (Progressive Scan) Component or RGB. Our exclusive AutoSet® feature takes the hassle out of setup by automatically sizing and positioning the computer image to fit exactly on the video screen. Signal parameters of the incoming video may be adjusted. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are retained even when power is switched off. Once you have returned your product to us we will deal with the administration and handle the costs involved with forwarding the product to the appropriate manufacturer (often in the EU), ensuring a return is obtained in a timely fashion and delivering a replacement/your repaired product to you* by an insured delivery service. *Only free if within the U.K. mainland - If outside the U.K. mainland then a delivery charge will be payable when your repaired/replaced product is returned to you.
