The HD10MD3 is a miniature digital downconverter for converting HD-SDI video to standard definition SDI and analog component/composite video. The HDP is a miniature HD-SDI/SDI to DVI-D converter for LCD or Plasma monitors. Using a very high quality scaling engine, the HDP will automatically size 4:3 or 16:9 inputs to many DVI-D monitors (see Technical Note below). For appropriate monitor configurations, scaling is automatically 1 to 1 for example, displaying 1920x1080 video on a WUXGA (1920x1200) monitor. The HDP will also automatically adapt the input frame rate for monitor compatibility. In addition, the HDP provides 2 channel RCA style audio monitoring and 2 looping outputs of the SDI inputs. HDP is the ideal solution for displaying SDI or HD-SDI on any LCD or Plasma DVI-D monitor.

Technical Note:
The HDP is designed to work with most DVI-D monitors. The HDP uses the industry standard EDID communication protocol (within the DVI link) to communicate with the monitor, and then adjusts the HDP's internal scaling engine to scale the input video to the native resolution of the monitor. However, due to the hundreds of variations of DVI formats currently in use, proper operation with all monitors cannot be guaranteed. The HDP has 2 modes of operation that occur automatically, depending on what monitor it is attached to. These modes are Recommended Monitor Mode or VESA Mode.

Recommended Monitor Mode
For recommended monitors, there is custom firmware that will provide an accurate frame-locked image for all supported SDI and HD-SDI input formats. The HDP automatically determines the monitor it is connected to.

KONA LHe Hardware Acceleration
Final Cut Pro users will love DVCPROHD, HDV, and Apple RT Extreme hardware acceleration, developed in close cooperation with Apple and available exclusively on KONA LHe. KONA LHe hardware takes a portion of the codec processing load off the CPU, allowing more RealTime (RT) effects in Final Cut Pro 5 when outputting. KONA LHe also has hardware support when capturing. This brings amazing RealTime HD production power to the desktop. With KONA LHe, any source can be captured using the DVCPROHD codec - giving you online HD quality at remarkably low data rates, allowing the internal PowerMac SATA storage to be used for HD capture, playback and RT effects. Of course, you'll obtain still better performance and more RT when using a fast SCSI or Fibre array, but this feature allows HD to be used where only SD would have been considered because of budget or time constraints. KONA LHe even supports the DVCPROHD and HDV codecs with downconversion - allowing projects to be downconverted to SD, or even upconverted for DVCPROHD capture.

How Does KONA LHe Accelerate DVCPROHD, HDV & Apple's Dynamic RT?
Because KONA's precision hardware does part of the work, the G5 has more time available to process RT effects. This means more RT-effects power and more RT streams. Most broadcast codecs, including DVCPROHD and HDV, use a two-step process. The video is first scaled to a lower horizontal pixel count, and then the video is compressed. This is done because the slightly scaled video results in a favourable tradeoff between resolution and codec efficiency. KONA LHe's hardware not only dramatically speeds up the scaling part of the job, but it's also done with full 10-bit broadcast quality. When using the Final Cut Pro 5 HDV codec, KONA LHe's hardware acceleration allows instantaneous RT playback for both monitoring and recording. Even KONA's downconverter works in realtime with HDV, allowing SD monitoring, dubs or mastering. This KONA LHe functionality makes HDV a fully professional solution. The Panasonic DVCPROHD format takes advantage of KONA hardware as well. KONA's precision hardware allows capture and playback of HD-SDI video to and from the DVCPROHD codec at a quality level virtually indistinguishable from native FireWire, while freeing up valuable RT processing power. The BR-HD50E allows users to transfer both high and standard definition video material to and from their NLE systems and to make inexpensive tape archives of both. Switchable between the HDV and DV recording modes and equipped with DVCAM™ playback facility, the deck is an easy, flexible and cost-effective adjunct to any professional NLE system. The BR-HD50E features digital input and output via an IEEE 1394 standard 6-pin connector for lossless transfer and recording of high and standard definition material alike.

The BR-HD50E’s tape mechanism accepts both full size DV and miniDV cassettes and so has the capacity to record up to 276 minutes of video in either standard or high definition. The unit supports signals that are recorded in 720p/24/25/30/ and 576/50p in HDV, and 576i/50 & 25fps in DV. A front panel 8-digit LED display provides display of time code, user bits and VTR status. With its built-in HDV decoder, it has the ability to convert 720p MPEG2 recordings to 1080/50i or 576/50i for monitoring purposes. ProHD

The ProHD concept is built on the worldwide high definition standard of HDV adopted by JVC, Sharp, Sony and Canon. CC-300 CORIOconsole provides a Video Production Switcher type interface for the C2 series Video Processors. Two rows of 14 buttons are provided for Preview and Program functionality of mixed format sources. Fades and wipes may be either automatic with preset times or manually controlled via the fader bar. The joystick employs full range of motion to allow precise positioning of P-I-P inserts and other functions. The Integrated LCD touch screen plus fixed-purpose function keys combine with “soft” function keys to provide total control over multiple C2 series units. The CC-300 provides access to all controls with a minimum of keystrokes.

Unleash the Power - The CC-300 is designed to work with any CORIO2 product. In fact, a single CC-300 can control multiple CORIO2 devices. C2-2300 Universal Video Switcher/Scaler is based on TV One’s exclusive CORIO2™ technology and provides high quality scaling in any direction between standard video, DVI or Analog computer and HDTV signals. NTSC and PAL standards are supported. Input and Outputs can be Composite Video, S-Video, YUV Component, YPbPr (Progressive Scan) Component or RGB. Our exclusive AutoSet® feature takes the hassle out of setup by automatically sizing and positioning the computer image to fit exactly on the video screen. Signal parameters of the incoming video may be adjusted. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are retained even when power is switched off. The high resolution RGB/YPbPr outputs are selectable as any computer resolution up to 2048x2048 at any vertical refresh rate or any HDTV resolution up to 1080p. A wide variety of computer signal formats are available to support PC, Mac and Workstation formats.

C2-2355 provides an SDI Output in addition to all of the features of the C2-2350.
All the functions can be controlled via the front panel Push Buttons, an Infrared Control Remote Unit or via an RS-232 or IP connection. A Windows Control Panel is provided and most third party control systems interface directly with the entire C2 range of products. A front panel LCD makes setup easy.

Variable Zoom to 10X allows you to enlarge any part of the computer screen to fill the entire video screen and position controls allow you to move around to any area desired. Variable Shrink to as little as 10% allows fitting the image onto most displays. The advanced Digital Flicker Elimination circuitry and high sampling rate insures crisp, clear images, while full bandwidth chroma sampling insures faithfully reproduced, high resolution colours. Motion compensation and a 3:2 Pulldown feature for NTSC greatly improves image quality.

C2-5100 Multi-Video Format Video Processor is much more than a Universal Video Scaler. Often referred to as the Swiss Army Knife of video processors, it has been the benchmark for video image conversion products since its introduction, coming nearer to the ideal of "Anything In - Anything Out" than any other conversion product available. Not only is it a high performance Video Scaler, Up-Converter, Down-Converter and Multi-Format Seamless Switcher, but it goes far beyond that. It's also a Worldwide Standards Converter, Chromkeyer, Lumakeyer, Picture-in-Picture Device, HDTV Converter, Frame Synchroniser, Time Base Corrector, Aspect Ratio Converter and a Universal Image Genlock, just to name a few. Picture-in-Picture Power - The C2-5100 is an unparalleled P-I-P device in its price range. Any video input can be squeezed and placed into a window of any size and positioned anywhere on the screen. The window can be placed over any other video input as the background. The image in the window can then be seamlessly switched to another video input. The image can also be zoomed while it is in the window. Multiple C2-5100 units may be cascaded to provide layer upon layer and window upon window of images from virtually any source, from Composite Video through HDTV and anything in between.

Powerful Features –The C2-5100 is ideally suited for use with LCD Projectors, CRT Monitors, Projection TV Systems, Plasma or HDTV Displays to improve picture quality. With its output signal format flexibility, it is assured that the Native Resolution of virtually any Digital Display can be matched. Because of the integral resolution calculator, even new resolutions can be instantly added to the menu. Adjustments are provided for Colour Saturation, Hue, Brightness and Contrast and each video input has its own non-volatile memory to retain these settings, even when the power to the unit has been turned off. Integral Test Signals are user defined. A Logo memory is provided, so the unit can easily be used as a Logo Inserter. The C2-5100 employs advanced motion compensation to smooth out fast moving images and its automatic 3:2 Pull-down efficiently de-interlaces video from 24 fps film. The unit can be controlled from the front panel, via RS-232, IR or an optional IP interface.
