Blackmagic Design Enterprise Videohub Adobe Acrobat Pdf Brochuremore information

Enterprise Videohub is a massive size that’s perfect for the largest facility or broadcaster. Enterprise Videohub is one of the largest routers available, and includes the same advanced technology as the other Videohub models at an affordable price. Enterprise Videohub features a massive 144 inputs, 288 outputs and 144 deck control ports all packed into a 16 rack unit size less than 3 inches thick. Enterprise Videohub features redundant power supplies and uses the same powerful Videohub software.

No Manual Patching
In the past most studios have been forced to use manual patching to connect editing workstations and decks. However this can become too complicated for creative designers, graphic artists and editors to understand, plus it gets even more complicated as your studio grows. Manual patching also caused problems with limited SDI cable lengths, and patch cables quickly wear out, so you get glitches as other uses bump them while patching.
Videohub eliminates this problem because everyone is permanently connected, and no cables need to be physically changed ever. All video connections are changed from an easy to use software application right from your computer desktop. Unlike manual patching, Videohub re-clocks the SDI video signal for long cable lengths. Plus unlike manual patching, you can send one SDI video connection to as many outputs as you like, so multiple people can access any SDI video source, all at the same time.

High end post production and broadcasters have understood the advantages of professional routing switchers for decades, and now with Videohub, everyone can afford these same workflow advantages.

Industrial Strength Routing Switcher
Enterprise Videohub has enough SDI connections for 144 edit systems or decks, and twice as many SDI outputs, so each user can have a completely independent SDI output for monitoring. 144 deck control ports are also included so you get a complete routing solution.

SDI Re-Clocking
Enterprise Videohub also includes built in SDI re-clockers on each SDI input which regenerate the SDI video signal. Every inch of video cable from your SDI video devices degrades the SDI signal. Expensive premium grade "digital" cables can help, however simply cannot eliminate this loss. With SDI re-clocking you can output regenerated and clean SDI signal out to all the SDI devices in your studio. That means longer cable lengths, and no glitches in your video.

Simultaneous SD, HD or 3 Gb/s Video
Videohub makes it easy to run Standard Definition and High Definition equipment now and add 3 Gb/s SDI equipment in the future. That's because Videohub handles mixed SD, HD and 3 Gb/s SDI connections all on the same router at the same time. Videohub automatically detects when an SDI input changes, and instantly sets all SDI outputs connected to that input to match. SDI re-clocking and output SDI slew rates change automatically.

Independent Monitoring
Because most editors love monitoring direct from the router, Enterprise Videohub has 288 independent SDI outputs totally dedicated for monitoring. Independent monitoring outputs are great when you need to quickly look at decks and other editing systems in your facility. You can also use the extra outputs to connect consumer VHS and DVD recorders via external converters.

Deck Control Routing
With 144 independent Sony™ compatible RS-422 serial control ports included, each editing system can control any deck in your facility. Each deck control connection is independently reversible via software control, so it’s easy to connect edit stations or decks to any of the 144 deck control ports.

World’s Highest Quality 3 Gb/s SDI
With the exciting new 3 Gb/s SDI connections built in, Videohub allows twice the SDI data rate than normal HD-SDI. Use 3 Gb/s SDI for high resolution real time 2048 x 1556 feature film editing. 3 Gb/s SDI has full compatibility with SD, HD or 2K in 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 all with a single BNC cable. With 3 Gb/s SDI built in, you have full compatibility with all your current standard definition SDI and high definition SDI equipment, plus any new formats that come along in the future. With Videohub, your studio is future proof.

Network Router Control
Videohub uses software control panels that run on Windows™ and Mac OS X™. This lets you control the router from the same system you edit on. Videohub connects to any computer via USB and is then shared over your local network. Any computer can be the host, and simply connecting to the router via the USB 2.0 connection activates that computer as the host and allows other computers on your network to connect. Router labels can be changed from any computer and are fully unicode compatible for foreign language support.

Key Features:-

Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Audio to SDI Adobe Acrobat Pdf Brochuremore information

Includes everything you need to embed 4 channels of analogue audio, or 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SDI video connection. Embed audio from devices such as audio mixers and analogue decks into SDI video connections for use with SDI routers and decks or to add extra audio channels to video converters.

Built in AES/EBU or Analogue Audio
Standard 1/4 inch jacks are built in for balanced analogue or AES/EBU audio. Because Mini Converters use standard 1/4 inch jack connectors for all audio connections, you can use standard cables commonly available from any pro audio store. Unlike other converters, Mini Converters don't need custom cables, as any balanced 1/4 inch jack cable can be used. Mini Converters are also unique as the same 1/4 inch jack connections can be switched between professional balanced analogue audio, or AES/EBU digital audio. This means you only need one model of Mini Converter for both analogue and digital audio. You can select the type of audio from one of the mini switches on the side of the Mini Converter unit. On modes with AES/EBU digital audio in, a sample rate converter lets you connect to any AES/EBU source, either synchronised, or unsynchronised. On HDMI models, you also have full access to the HDMI audio embedded in the HDMI video connection.

Redundant SDI Input
Mini Converters feature a unique redundant input for mission critical tasks such as broadcast or live events. You can connect a redundant cable to the second input, so if the main input is lost due to cable damage or any other cause, Mini Converter will automatically switch over to the redundant input cable. This lets you use Mini Converters in locations where crowds or the environment might cause cable damage, or lets you place Mini Converters in hard to reach locations such as roof mounted video projectors etc. A loop though SDI output is also provided for connecting to other devices. A loop-through SDI connection is also great if you need more than 2 audio channels, as you can connect the loop-through to another Mini Converter to de-embedd extra audio channels.

Auto Switching SD and HD
Mini Converters instantly switch between standard definition and high definition video formats and change over is automatic when the video input changes. A huge range of video standards are supported including, NTSC, PAL, 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50, 1080psf/23.98, 1080psf/24, 720p/59.94 and 720p/50 formats, plus new formats can be added via USB.

New 3 Gb/s SDI Technology
Only Mini Converters include the latest 3 Gb/s SDI technology and upgrades can be loaded via the built in USB connection for future video format compatibility. 3 Gb/s SDI is also fully compatible with all your standard definition and high definition SDI equipment.

High Quality
Mini Converters are built to highest quality standards with low SDI jitter so you get the longest SDI cable lengths combined with multiple internal power supplies for ultra low noise broadcast quality analogue video and audio. Eliminate the high cost of HDTV monitoring with HDLink - the world's most advanced full HDTV resolution monitoring converter for DVI and HDMI monitors. Includes the quality of 4:4:4 SDI video, lookup tables via USB and analogue audio outputs.

HDLink Optical Fiber includes amazing quality DVI and HDMI monitoring with 6 channels of RCA analogue audio out, 3D lookup tables, single link 3 Gb/s SDI input, single link 3 Gb/s SDI loop through output, optical fiber SDI input, optical fiber SDI loop through output and support for 24 inch displays for HD monitoring and 30 inch displays for real time 2K monitoring.

Built in Optical Fiber
The HDLink Optical Fiber model is the worlds first broadcast monitoring solution with built in optical fiber SDI connections. Optical fiber easily handles long distances, is low cost, and optical fiber cables last virtually forever because you can keep plugging them into faster equipment in the future, and the same cables will go much faster. Optical fiber cables can be installed by your local electrician, and the cables can be purchased from your local electrical wholesaler. That's because optical fiber is used all the time in computer networking, so it's low cost and commonly available! Now you can build a native optical fiber facility.

Colour Management via 3D Lookup Tables
For matching LCD display colourimetry and simulating various types of film stocks, HDLink features more advanced 3D lookup tables. Advanced 3D lookup tables increase colour control because a blend of red, green and blue video can be output to each primary colour on the connected display. Only advanced 3D lookup tables can give full colour control for accurate simulation of almost any feature film stock. Lookup tables are fully adjustable via a high speed USB 2.0 host computer connection using the included HDLink Utility software for Windows and Mac OS X. Custom lookup tables also allow film industry log video to be converted to linear for monitoring when used for feature film work. Preset gamma tables for Panasonic™ and Grass Valley Thomson Viper cine-gamma are included.

Full Resolution HD Monitoring
HDLink connects SDI video directly to any supported DVI-D based LCD computer monitor for incredible true HDTV resolution video monitoring. HDLink includes 3 Gb/s SDI for high resolution 2K film monitoring when connected to a large 30 inch DVI display. With every individual pixel in the HD or 2K SDI connection digitally mapped directly to the pixels of the LCD display, you get a perfect digital-to-screen pixel for pixel HDTV or 2K display. Connect any HDMI television or video projector to HDLink for cinema style monitoring! Even large 23 inch CRT based monitors can’t display the full resolution of the HD-SDI signal, but with HDLink you see every pixel in the HD signal, so you'll always see a perfect image. You'll be amazed at the quality of High Definition or 2K video when you monitor via HDLink for the first time. There’s simply no higher resolution HDTV monitoring possible.

Supports both DVI and HDMI
HDLink supports all DVI-D based digital computer displays and now also includes HDMI video support. HDMI supports video at 1080i/50, 1080i/59.94 and 720p/59.94 on any HDMI device. DVI-D supports displays at 1920 x 1200 (16:10) resolution for all 1080 HDTV formats. When working in 720 HDTV formats you can even use lower cost 1280 x 800 resolution display for pixel for pixel 720p viewing. When working in NTSC or PAL, HDLink can 2x oversize the displayed image making viewing easier. Because most computer displays are limited to approximately a 60 Hz refresh rate, HDLink will automatically apply pull-down to allow video frame rates to be displayed. HDLink includes a built-in Power PC processor allowing automatic adjustment of native display resolutions using VESA E-EDID1.3.

Blackmagic Design Analogue to SDI Mini Converter Adobe Acrobat Pdf Brochuremore information

Mini Converter Analog to SDI is perfect for converting from analog video in HD/SD component, NTSC, PAL or S-Video to SDI video with the choice to embed SDI audio from balanced AES/EBU or analog audio inputs. Now you can convert analog devices such as Betacam SP, VHS, Set top box's and HDV cameras to SDI video.

More about Blackmagic Mini Converters:

Build your SDI studio with the worlds most advanced and easy to use converters! Only Mini Converters include auto SD/HD switching, redundant input, AES/EBU and analog audio on standard 1/4 inch jack connections, combined with advanced 3 Gb/s SDI technology. There's 4 great models to choose from depending on the conversion you need, plus a sync generator model.

Auto Switching SD and HD
Mini Converters instantly switch between standard definition and high definition video formats and changeover is automatic when the video input changes. A huge range of video standards are supported including, NTSC, PAL, 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50, 1080psf/23.98, 1080psf/24, 720p/59.94 and 720p/50 formats, plus new formats can be added via USB.

This lets you can use Mini Converters in locations where crowds or the environment might cause cable damage, or lets you place Mini Converters in hard to reach locations such as roof mounted video projectors etc. A loop though SDI output is also provided for connecting to other devices. A loop-through SDI connection is also great if you need more than 2 audio channels, as you can connect the loop-through to another Mini Converter to de-embed extra audio channels!

Built in AES/EBU or Analog Audio
Standard 1/4 inch jacks are built in for balanced analog or AES/EBU audio. Because Mini Converters use standard 1/4 inch jack connectors for all audio connections, you can use standard cables commonly available from any pro audio store. Unlike other converters, Mini Converters don't need custom cables, as any balanced 1/4 inch jack cable can be used. Mini Converters are also unique as the same 1/4 inch jack connections can be switched between professional balanced analog audio, or AES/EBU digital audio. This means you only need one model of Mini Converter for both analog and digital audio.

High Quality
Mini Converters are built to highest quality standards with low SDI jitter so you get the longest SDI cable lengths combined with multiple internal power supplies for ultra low noise broadcast quality analog video and audio. Unlike other converters, Mini Converters don't use "low grade" video electronics just to save cost. Mini Converters feature the highest grade broadcast quality analog audio and video electronics. In fact, Mini Converters uses the same analog video design as our most expensive and award winning Multibridge Eclipse! That means you get the highest quality, all in a very affordable and incredibly compact unit.

International Power Supply
Unlike other converters, a universal power supply is included with international socket adapters for all countries. This lets you take Mini Converters with you to any location worldwide, and plug directly into the local power sockets. To stop power accidentally being disconnected, a cable tie point is included to lock down the power connection tight.

Broadcast Videohub is a powerful broadcast grade routing switcher that features a massive 72 inputs, 144 outputs, 72 deck control ports, and auto switching SD, HD, and 3 Gb/s SDI, all in a compact rack mount chassis only a few inches thick.

No Manual Patching
In the past most studio's have been forced to use manual patching to connect editing workstations and decks. However this can become too complicated for creative designers, graphic artists and editors to understand, plus it gets even more complicated as your studio grows. Manual patching also caused problems with limited SDI cable lengths, and patch cables quickly wear out, so you get glitches as other uses bump them while patching.

Broadcast Videohub eliminates this problem because everyone is permanently connected, and no cables need to be physically changed ever. All video connections are changed from an easy to use software application right from your computer desktop. Unlike manual patching, Broadcast Videohub re-clocks the SDI video signal for long cable lengths. Plus unlike manual patching, you can send one SDI video connection to as many outputs as you like, so multiple people can access any SDI video source, all at the same time.

High end post production and broadcasters have understood the advantages of professional routing switchers for decades, and now with Broadcast Videohub, everyone can afford these same workflow advantages.

Industrial Strength Routing Switcher
With 72 inputs and 144 outputs, Broadcast Videohub is big enough to grow with your company. Broadcast Videohub has enough SDI connections for 72 edit systems or decks, and twice as many SDI outputs, so each user can have a completely independent SDI output for monitoring. 72 deck control ports are also included so you get a complete routing solution.

SDI Re-Clocking
Broadcast Videohub also includes built in SDI re-clockers on each SDI input which regenerate the SDI video signal. Every inch of video cable from your SDI video devices degrades the SDI signal. Expensive premium grade "digital" cables can help, however simply cannot eliminate this loss. With SDI re-clocking you can a regenerated and clean SDI signal out to all the SDI devices in your studio. That means longer cable lengths, and no glitches in your video.

Simultaneous SD, HD or 3 Gb/s Video
Broadcast Videohub makes it easy to run Standard Definition and High Definition equipment now and add 3 Gb/s SDI equipment in the future. That's because Broadcast Videohub handles mixed SD, HD and 3 Gb/s SDI connections all on the same router at the same time. Broadcast Videohub automatically detects when an SDI input changes, and instantly sets all SDI outputs connected to that input to match. SDI re-clocking and output SDI slew rates change automatically.

Independent Monitoring
Because most editors love monitoring direct from the router, Broadcast Videohub has 72 independent SDI outputs totally dedicated for monitoring. Independent monitoring outputs are great when you need to quickly look at decks and other editing systems in your facility. You can also use the extra outputs to connect consumer VHS and DVD recorders via external converters.

Deck Control Routing
With 72 independent Sony™ compatible RS-422 serial control ports included, each editing system can control any deck in your facility. Each deck control connection is independently reversible via software control, so it’s easy to connect edit stations or decks to any of the 72 deck control ports.

World’s Highest Quality 3 Gb/s SDI
With the exciting new 3 Gb/s SDI connections built in, Broadcast Videohub allows twice the SDI data rate than normal HD-SDI. Use 3 Gb/s SDI for high resolution real time 2048 x 1556 feature film editing. 3 Gb/s SDI has full compatibility with SD, HD or 2K in 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 all with a single BNC cable. With 3 Gb/s SDI built in, you have fully compatibility with all your current standard definition SDI and high definition SDI equipment, plus any new formats that come along in the future. With Broadcast Videohub, your studio is future proof.

Network Router Control
Broadcast Videohub uses software control panels that run on Windows™ and Mac OS X™. This lets you control the router from the same system you edit on. Broadcast Videohub connects to any computer via USB and is then shared over your local network. Any computer can be the host, and simply connecting to the router via the USB 2.0 connection activates that computer as the host and allows other computers on your network to connect. Router labels can be changed from any computer and are fully unicode compatible for foreign language support.
