It takes less than half an hour to install and set up the Spectra T50 library. How? It comes with clear and concise documentation and an intuitive configuration process. It’s compatible with all major backup packages and operating systems, and provides a choice of connectivity options—either direct-connect SCSI, Fibre Channel or iSCSI. And physically, the 4U library can be rack-mounted or used on a tabletop.

Low-effort Management
The T50 saves significant staff time and effort with consolidated media handling. TeraPack® technology lets you handle multiple LTO tapes at a time, grouped in increments of five and protected by a TeraPack case. Each tape, and the case itself, has a bar code, making it easy to track media both on-site and off-site. And the Spectra T50 keeps your library running with monitoring and alerts on library status. The library is built using modular components, so parts can be replaced or upgraded with minimal disruption to the backup process.

Eminently Scalable Capacity
There’s always more data, never less, so keeping up with capacity demands is a serious issue. The T50’s capacity on demand (CoD) feature allows you to simply visit the Spectra Logic Web store to purchase additional capacity keys. A key enables more slots, and you instantly have access to additional capacity. Get only what you need, then add more as you need it. This keeps costs in check and extends the life of your library. And, if your data growth demands smaller backup windows, add drives. The library supports up to two full-height LTO drives or up to four half-height LTO drives.
