The PVM-20L4 is a 20-inch compact video monitor that was newly designed to replace the current well-known PVM-20M4E monitor. The PVM-20L4 incorporates a HR Trinitron CRT that achieves a high resolution of 800 TV lines.

It is equipped with EBU standard phosphors to guarantee precise colour reproduction and consistency between various monitors.

This new model is using a modular chassis allowing one optional input board to be fitted. Various type of input signals can be accepted including affordable SDI, SDTI-CPI and I-Link input decoder boards.

Two slots are available at the back of this monitor to allow the insertion of one optional video decoder board. A few video decoder boards are available such as the current Analogue Component Input Adapter BKM-129X, the SDI 4:2:2 Decoder Adapter BKM-120D, the newly developed SDTI-CP/SDI Decoder Adapter BKM-150CP or the new BKM-155DV i-LINK input Adapter.

Audio monitoring facility
Built-in loudspeaker for sound monitoring.

Worldwide TV standards
This monitor accepts PAL, SECAM, NTSC and NTSC (4.43).

Serial remote control facilities for multiple monitor applications
This monitor is equipped as standard with a RS-485 serial remote interface. A chain of 32 monitors can be remotely controlled. Combined with a master BVM monitor, basic operation functions can be controlled.

Compact chassis
Compared to the conventional PVM-M series monitors, the PVM-20L4 can be mounted with one less unit of rack space (9RU).

LED lit sheet keys for controls
LED lit sheet keys located on the sides of the front panel can be turn off or adjusted the brightness in 5 steps.

Auto Set Up Probe BKM-14L
For auto alignment of colour temperature.

4:3/16:9 aspect ratio
Capable of displaying both 4:3 and 16:9 formats. 16:9 aspect ratio mask (BKM-200M) can be provided as an option.

Auto Chroma/Phase Setup
Facilitates the complex and delicate procedure of chroma/phase adjustment of the monitor automatically. Using broadcast standard colour bars as a reference, this function automatically calibrates chroma and phase.

User memory
User memory is available for Brightness, Chroma, Phase, Contrast, Aperture and Volume

4:3 area marker
It is possible to check the 4:3 aspect area in the 16:9 picture by displaying the 4:3 marker.

Switchable colour temperature
Colour temperature can be changed to D65, D93 or user preset (5000 K to 10000 K)

Tally lamps
Three colours for tally lamps are selectable.

H/V delay
Allows viewing of the blanking area and sync/burst signal.

Underscan
Entire picture area displayed to check picture edges.

Blue only
Noise on signals can be precisely evaluated and chroma adjustments can be easily made with the blue only display.

Mono mode
Monochrome pictures are available.
