JVC's new DTV1710CG represents a departure from traditional multi-application monitor design, since this new model provides three input/output option card bays that can be populated with up to three I/O modules. Available option modules include; Composite Video, Y/C, Analog Component, RGB/RGBHV, SD-SDI, HD-SDI, with associated audio support.
The ability to offer High Definition Serial Digital Interface (HD-SDI) input and active through output connectors, conforming to CCIR 601 standard, makes the DT-V1700 ideal for studios that are going to an end-to-end digital environment. Significantly, since the DT-V1700 can provide composite/Y-C/Component inputs and/or dual composite video inputs, this monitor is the ideal choice for many studios that are not yet digital end-to-end but anticipate being so in the future.
The DT-V1710CG utilises a 17" (diagonal) P22 phosphor CRT in a rack-mountable configuration, perfect for mobile applications, post-production, facility QC and monitoring use, and any application where a high quality, small footprint DTV monitor with flexible input/output configurations is desired.
On-screen, menu-driven operation makes the DT-V1710CG ideal for a wide range of professional applications. This easy-to-operate menu provides quick access to many features, including aspect ratio select, colour temperature select and white balance adjustment. Memory storage and recall is an added benefit that provides instant recall to achieve the desired picture setting. Control lock is another feature that prevents accidental changes during critical production shoots. In addition the DT-V1710CG features wired/wireless remote and tally.
