The Grass Valley® HDSC1 is an SDI-to-component signal converter that converts HD-SDI signals to HD component output or SD-SDI signals to SD component output. HDSC1 provides instant output of HD content to HD component displays, such as HDTVs and RGB computer monitors, and SD content to component, S-Video and composite displays. HDSC1 incorporates a sync generator for both HD (Tri-Level sync) and SD (Black Burst). HDSC1 automatically detects the video format currently being output, and supports SDI signal pass-through. HDSC1 offers audio level adjustment options with embedded audio support. HDSC1 is a solid 8-inch, half-1U rack mount unit, with optional rack mount kit available.

FIRECODER Blu is an H.264/MPEG2 compatible hardware transcoder board which provides high speed encoding of video files for use in Blu-ray authoring.

High Performance and High Quality Hardware Assisted Encoding
FIRECODER helps meet the demand for creation of Blu-ray media by providing up to 4-5x faster than real-time encode of Blu-ray files.

A single PCI Express x1 form factor board, FIRECODER Blu provides accelerated encoding of Blu-ray compatible video sourced from any number of video applications including our own EDIUS non-linear editing software.
