Intuitive Interface
Let's EDIT 2 is designed for both experienced video editors and the novice – there's no experience necessary to start editing video. All major features within Let's EDIT 2 can be accessed just by clicking on any of the large buttons within the toolbars. You can also switch to full screen playback for previewing your projects.

Let's EDIT 2's interface not only provides simplicity, but also offers powerful editing controls for the video enthusiast. These features include support for up to 10 title and 10 audio tracks, 16:9 editing, ripple editing, and advanced clip trimming.

Clip Bin Storyboarding
The Media Clip Bin forms a major part of Let's EDIT 2's interface and allows you to easily manage all the different types of video, audio and even digital still image clips used in your projects. The Clip Bin also works as a Storyboard – you can arrange the clips into a specific order and then have Let's EDIT 2 automatically place all the clips onto the timeline instantly. This makes creating videos fast and easy.

MPEG Speed Index
Let's EDIT 2 features Canopus's new proprietary MPEG Speed Index technology. This feature provides you with fast, responsive editing performance when working with MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video clips in realtime.

CD Audio Ripping
Add music and sound from your favorite CDs into your projects with this feature. Select one, two, or even all the tracks on a CD and Let's EDIT 2 will automatically save the audio from the CD and import into the Clip Bin, ready for use.

Voiceover Recording
With Let's EDIT 2, you can quickly record narration for your video, all you need is a microphone connected to the PC. The Voiceover Recording feature will play back your project and record audio directly to the timeline. If you make a mistake, you can quickly do an insert recording to fix any slipups. This feature is also an ideal way to add music from audiocassettes into your projects.

Realtime Video Filters and Effects
Let's EDIT 2 includes 30 different video filters and effects to choose from, ranging from practical filters to help improve the color and brightness of your footage, to more creative and sophisticated effects, such as Old Movie and Chroma Key. Let's EDIT 2 can also slow down, speed up and even reverse the playback of your footage.

Realtime filters and effects can be used together in any combination to create an entirely different look for your video. These effect combinations can be saved, so you can use them again in future projects.

Realtime 2D and 3D Transitions
Rather than having a straight cut between each video clip, pick from over 100 different realtime transitions available within Let's EDIT 2. Let's EDIT 2 features transition effects to suit any type of project, with simple 2D-based effects, such as dissolves and wipes, as well as more creative 3D-based transitions, such as Page Peel and Fly Away.

Each transition features a control panel to customize various properties for that transition, including direction, speed and even realtime lighting and shadows for 3D objects.

Realtime Titles and Graphics
No video project would be complete without a title or two, and Let's EDIT 2 makes titling your projects quick and easy. The Let's EDIT 2 titler lets you place text anywhere on the screen, complete with custom colors and drop shadows, with a one-click preview feature. Let's EDIT 2 also supports importing of custom graphics, so you can use any image as a title, such as a logo for a school or sporting team photo.

To add an extra creative touch, any title can be animated, by choosing from over 20 different Title Motion effects. These effects include simple fade-in/fade-out effects and slide effects for rolling credits.

Export Video Projects to Different Formats
Let's EDIT 2 provides additional export options for creating clips ideal for e-mail and the Web, so you can share your creations with others. Export formats include Windows Media™, QuickTime™ and RealVideo®.

Prepare video files for more sophisticated VideoCD and DVD authoring applications with Let's EDIT 2's MPEG encoder. Let's EDIT 2 delivers high-quality MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files, ready for use with all popular CD and DVD authoring software.

Easy DV Camcorder Export
Any video project can easily be recorded back onto a DV camcorder tape with just the click of a button. Use this feature to create a full-quality copy of your finished project on tape, for storage or to show others.

Capture directly to DV, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 from any DV camcorder
Connect any DV* camcorder to your PC, and have Let's EDIT 2 capture the footage directly to DV AVI, MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 formats. Let's EDIT 2 seamlessly edits any combination of DV and MPEG footage, with no need for conversion prior to editing.

Control a DV camcorder directly from within Let's EDIT 2's interface to preview and cue DV tapes, set which format to capture your video to and then record – it's as easy as that. Let's EDIT 2's intelligent capture function will automatically split up the footage into separate clips based on the date and time you recorded each scene with your camera.

The MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 capture options also offer three different modes of quality to choose from, based on how much hard disk space you want to use when capturing. Use the MPEG-2 capture feature to greatly reduce the time taken to create DVDs.
